Revising is not the same as learning!

Learning is best done by understanding what you need to know

(not just memorising it).

If you need to remind yourself about the things you should have learned and understood as you went through the GCSE Core Science and Additional Science courses, click on the tabs above to find out about some of the web resources that are available to help you.

Revision is all about remembering the things you have learned

(and understood).

There are many different ways to revise. One technique is to condense what you know down into the shortest form that you can, then to take each of the condensed key points and expand it back up again to recreate all the facts and links that you could be tested on in the exam. There is a really good booklet that explains this technique available from the CGP Books website (CGP publishes the revision guides that are used by students at Grainviile School). The booklet costs £2.95. The revision area of the CGP website can be visited by clicking on this link: www.cgpbooks.co.uk/interactive_tips.
